The Sandwich Women's Club reaches out to the community with a number of hands on service programs. We serve monthly meals to the elderly. We raise donations of warm clothing for the homeless. We care for a community traffic island on Route 6A and maintain it with seasonal plants and flowers. These are rewarding opportunities to give back to the community.
Our fundraisers bring fun family activities to the community and help support those in need in Sandwich and the surrounding towns. Our members have lots of volunteer opportunities at these well attended events.
Touch-A-Truck is an annual tradition in Sandwich. The event draws over 1000 children and their families every year when we display dozens of unique trucks and vehicles at a huge outdoor fair. Kids and their parents can get up close, touch, and learn about trucks, buses and front loaders. We also offer a Children’s Fair with Face Painting, Balloon Art, animal displays and much more.
The whole community looks forward to the Annual Harvest Craft Fair. This event brings high quality crafters and shoppers together for a fun October day! The club arranges for the crafters, serves lunch and hosts an amazing bake table.
The Sandwich Women's Club has also published a fabulous cookbook entitled "From Beaches to Bogs"The book contains over 400 favorite recipes, submitted by club members, friends and family. The book features beautiful water color artwork by local artist Ann Corbett. Click here for more information.
